Comments: You know I'm helplessly devoted to Tasuki BUT Miaka and Tamahome definitely have something special. (Besides, that leaves Gen-chan available...hehehe) I love their story, the way they found each other, and their devotion. Tama himself may not be my favorite but they were made for each other. ^_~ I think most people agree about that at least.

Comments: Here is the scenario: a 15-year-old girl, Miaka, is transported to another world, far more primitive than her own, with seemingly no way to get back. She is declared to be Suzaku no Miko - "densetsu no shoujo," the girl of legend who will save the land in the time of its greatest need. She meets and falls in love with a young man, Tamahome, one of her Shichiseishi. As Suzaku no Miko, Miaka went through things that no girl of her age should have endured, yet instead of letting her experiences twist and warp her soul, she used them to become stronger, learning from them and forging the strength of will that prevented her from being absorbed by Suzaku. Through it all, her relationship with Tamahome underwent many changes, some good and some bad. Overall, however, their love prevailed over daunting circumstances, crossing and defying both time and space, and bridging the gap between two worlds. True, both Tamahome and Miaka made mistakes, but their love for each other never failed, even in the face of seemingly hopeless situations. There were times when either Miaka or Tamahome tried to stop loving each other for one reason or the other, or attempts were made to coerce them to stop loving each other, but in the end, their love could not be denied. I think that at the very least, the story of Miaka and Tamahome, of their courage and their love, deserves to be recognized, as it is a tribute to humanity and the enduring quality of love.
